Join the dedicated team at SIMEDHealth's Pain Management clinic in Ocala, FL, as a Part Time Radiology Technologist specializing in X-Ray and C-Arm/Fluoroscopy procedures. In this crucial role, you will directly support our physicians by performing radiographic examinations and providing vital assistance during interventional pain procedures using advanced C-Arm technology. Your expertise and compassionate approach will contribute significantly to the comfort and care of our patients.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current and valid general radiographer license
  • Current CPR certification
  • ARRT certification is a plus!
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or hospital environment is preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing general radiographer
  • Familiarity with Intergy or other electronic health record systems is beneficial
  • A genuine commitment to patient care and safety
Your Day-to-Day Will Involve:
  • Thoroughly reviewing patient information (consents, allergies, anticoagulants) prior to procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation by loading patient data into the PACS system.
  • Preparing sterile environments, necessary medications, and ensuring patients are ready for their procedures.
  • Expertly positioning patients for optimal imaging during interventional pain procedures.
  • Demonstrating precise alignment of the C-Arm for clear and accurate imaging.
  • Actively participating in "time out" safety checks before each procedure.
  • Applying appropriate wound dressings post-procedure.
  • Vigilantly monitoring patient stability after procedures before mobilization.
  • Safely assisting patients with transfers and ensuring fall precautions are in place.
  • Transporting patients to the recovery area and providing essential information to monitoring staff.
  • Maintaining well-stocked and organized procedure rooms.
  • Adhering to proper protocols for autoclave use, biohazard disposal, and handling of clinical laundry.
  • Monitoring radiofrequency treatments as required.
  • Demonstrating adaptability and proficiency in procedures specific to different physicians' techniques.
  • Being a flexible team player, willing to assist in other clinic areas as needed to achieve team goals.
