Join Our Dynamic Lab Team as a Full Time Laboratory Technologist in Gainesville!

SIMEDHealth's busy Gainesville Laboratory is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Full Time Laboratory Technologist (on-site). You'll play a vital role in providing essential chemistry, hematology, immunology, virology, and toxicology testing services that support the care of our large network of over 100 SIMEDHealth providers.

As a key member of our laboratory team, you will utilize your expertise in technical principles and equipment operation to ensure the consistent delivery of accurate and reliable laboratory results.

What You'll Need:

  • Current Florida State License as a Laboratory Technologist in Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunology
  • ASCP Medical Technologist certification is a plus!
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a healthcare laboratory setting
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a strong desire to collaborate within a dynamic team

  • Communicate critical patient results promptly and accurately.
  • Perform a range of standardized manual and automated tests, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of techniques within hematology and chemistry.
  • Conduct quality control, perform preventative maintenance, and accurately interpret test results.
  • Process and prepare specimens for both in-house and referral testing.
  • Accurately prepare necessary reagents, controls, and samples.
  • Actively contribute to and promote a culture of safety within the laboratory.
