Accounts Receivable Director

SIMEDHealth, a progressive, physician-owned multi-specialty medical group, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Director to oversee our AR operations and lead a dedicated team in a dynamic medical practice environment.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the AR Director is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of our billing, collections, and credentialing processes across all SIMEDHealth providers and services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Direct daily operations of the Accounts Receivable department to meet organizational goals.
  • Lead and develop a team of AR professionals to maximize collections and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee medical billing, claims submission, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding accounts.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to resolve credentialing, insurance, and reimbursement issues.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations.
  • Create policies, training materials, and reports to support efficient AR operations.
  • Analyze billing and collections data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentations using MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to communicate findings and recommendations to Physicians, staff, and key leadership.
  • Provide support to AR staff in responding to patient, provider, and insurance requests.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous medical accounts receivable experience is required (minimum 10 years in healthcare, including at least 5 years in healthcare finance leadership).
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting.
  • Proficient knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT codes, medical insurance, and medical terminology.
  • Strong experience with EHR systems and MS Office.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
