Join Our Team – Part-Time X-Ray/Radiology Technologist (Gainesville, FL)
SIMEDHealth is currently seeking a Part-Time X-Ray/Radiology Technologist to join our team in Gainesville, FL. This role involves performing X-Ray and Dexa (bone density) exams, supporting our commitment to high-quality patient care.
Position Details:
- Location: Gainesville, FL
- Schedule: Part-time (Preferred availability: Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Requirements:
✅ Experience with Dexa – REQUIRED
✅ High School Diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED
✅ Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license – REQUIRED
✅ Minimum 1 year of experience as a general radiographer – REQUIRED
✅ Current CPR/BLS certification – REQUIRED
✅ Successful completion of R.T. Certification (Radiologic Technologist) – REQUIRED
✅ ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification – PREFERRED
✅ Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting – PREFERRED
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general radiograph and Dexa exams per physician/provider orders
- Assist patients with positioning and transfers from wheelchairs or stretchers
- Prepare and maintain X-ray and Dexa equipment for daily use
- Follow infection control, biohazard, and safety protocols
- Ensure work area is clean and organized
- Monitor and change film badges monthly for employee safety
- Perform quality assurance protocols, including collimator testing and lead apron/glove testing
- Assist medical providers in obtaining radiography reports
- Order and stock supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the Division Manager to update policies and procedures
- Provide clerical and marketing support to enhance department productivity
