Join Our Team – Part-Time X-Ray/Radiology Technologist (Gainesville, FL)

SIMEDHealth is currently seeking a Part-Time X-Ray/Radiology Technologist to join our team in Gainesville, FL. This role involves performing X-Ray and Dexa (bone density) exams, supporting our commitment to high-quality patient care.

Position Details:

Location: Gainesville, FL
Schedule: Part-time (Preferred availability: Tuesdays & Thursdays)

Requirements:

✅ Experience with Dexa – REQUIRED
✅ High School Diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED
✅ Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license – REQUIRED
✅ Minimum 1 year of experience as a general radiographer – REQUIRED
✅ Current CPR/BLS certification – REQUIRED
✅ Successful completion of R.T. Certification (Radiologic Technologist) – REQUIRED
✅ ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification – PREFERRED
✅ Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting – PREFERRED

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general radiograph and Dexa exams per physician/provider orders
Assist patients with positioning and transfers from wheelchairs or stretchers
Prepare and maintain X-ray and Dexa equipment for daily use
Follow infection control, biohazard, and safety protocols
Ensure work area is clean and organized
Monitor and change film badges monthly for employee safety
Perform quality assurance protocols, including collimator testing and lead apron/glove testing
Assist medical providers in obtaining radiography reports
Order and stock supplies as needed
Collaborate with the Division Manager to update policies and procedures
Provide clerical and marketing support to enhance department productivity
