Urology - Gainesville, FL - Full Time

SIMEDHealth is currently looking for an Office Coordinator to join us in our Gainesville, FL Urology office.  

The Office Coordinator (OC) is a working supervisor that provides clinical and administrative support to the physicians, mid-level providers and support staff members. The OC serves as a role model for clinical and support staff and promotes teamwork, integrity, and continuous practice improvement. The OC may supervise all patient services functions and strives to maintain exemplary service and satisfaction standards at all times. The OC is also responsible for compliance with all OSHA/CLIA and HIPAA regulations, and ensuring completion of all duties vital to business operations. The OC is a highly visible "go to" person that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with staff, patients, family members, and other visitors to the office.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalence
  • AA/AS Degree or higher preferred (Experience may substitute for education)
  • Professional appearance and communication skills are REQUIRED
  • Intergy or other electronic health record experience preferred
  • 3-5 years in a medical or hospital setting REQUIRED
  • 1-2 years in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting REQUIRED
  • Previous experience in a leadership position - must be able to motivate others, display excellent communication skills and be goal oriented

The following are some of the duties which may be required of you as an Office Coordinator:

  • Assist with managerial functions as assigned.
  • Collaborate with front and back office staff to maintain a consistent patient flow.
  • Train, coordinate and orient new staff members.
  • Shall be trained to fill in and be able perform all the functions of the positions you are supervising.
  • Monitor staff hours, sign off on time cards when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA and provide training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all SIMED policies, procedures and protocols as applicable.
  • Delegate duties and assignments for positive clinic operations.
  • Maintain petty cash, confirm and sign off on all daily batches.  Follow appropriate AR Collection procedures.
  • Interact with A/R as needed to resolve patient issues.
  • Oversee scanning of patient charts and documentation into patient charts (delegated as necessary)
  • Monitor Intergy to ensure tasks are being completed for patient care.
  • Tasks members of the SIMED team to resolve patient issues.
  • Ordering clinic supplies as needed
  • Serving as the clinic representative in the absence of the Division Manager
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Ensuring clinic is prepared for daily operations (forms, supplies, etc..)
  • Communicate clinical issues with Division Manager or other supervisor
  • Assist Division Manager in preparing physician credentialing
